Mahikeng: Premier of the North West Province Supra Mahumapelo has extended his congratulatory message to the 21-year-old Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from Sedgefield in the Western Cape for having scooped the Miss South Africa 2017 title last night, Sunday 26 March. The annual prestigious beauty pageant event was held at Sun City near Ledig village in the North West Province.

Rustenburg: Bokone-Bophirima Premier Supra Mahumapelo has urged delegates who attended the two-day Provincial ImplementationPlan (PIP) 2017– 2022 Summit on HIV, TBand STIs to think deeper and ponder strategies that will enable the province to respond positively to the National Development Plan’s objective of increasing the life expectancy. Mahumapelo said the provincial plan must provide direction on how the province’s HIV negative citizens will remain negative forever, and how the condition of those HIV positive will be befittingly managed.

Mahikeng – The unemployed youth in the Rustenburg and Mahikeng areas are urged to avoid falling victim to a scam led by a young lady who claims to have been appointed by the Office of the Premier through its Youth Entrepreneurship Services unit and the provincial department of Education and Sport Development to collect Curricula Vitae (CVs) of unemployed youth, who will purportedly be linked with the mines for training and skills development.

A medical school earmarked for North West Province...

TAUNG – Following an intensive consultation with stakeholders in the health and education sectors, an agreement that the North West Province must have a medical school has been reached. To be established through the North West University, it is expected that this medical school will attract medical specialists from international countries to the province.
