Mahikeng – Premier Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi of the North West Provincial Government will on Thursday, 27 February 2025 deliver his maiden State of the Province Address (SOPA) for the 7th Administration during the Official Opening of the North West Provincial Legislature (NWPL).
In his address, Mokgosi is expected to give an account of the progress registered in expediting the provision of services in the province.
Central to Premier Mokgosi’s address will be plans to find a solution to the province’s high unemployment rate, fight poverty and high costs of living, as well as building an ethical public service.
Themed “Fostering Unity, Equalityand Sustainable Development through Parliamentary Diplomacy”, the Official Opening of the NWPL and 2025 State of the Province Address will be broadcast on various media platforms to enable members of the public to follow the proceedings.
Members of the media who have applied for accreditation are also invited to a Pre-SOPA Media Briefing where they will also collect their accreditation tags in person. The briefing session and collection of accreditations will take place as follows:
