Mahikeng: Premier of the North West Province Kaobitsa Bushy Maape will today, Thursday, 21 April 2022, visit Deelpan village in Tswaing Local Municipality which has been affected by floods, leaving hundreds of families destitute. Premier Maape who is visiting the area to assess the situation, will be joined by the Executive Mayor of Ngaka Modiri Molema District, Cllr Khumalo Molefe.
The village of Deelpan was affected by heavy downpour more than a month ago, with the recent rainfall causing more flooding.
Through the Provincial Disaster Management Centre, a task team comprising officials from various government departments has already been established to provide the necessary relief to all affected families.
The Premier’s visit to Deelpan will be undertaken as follows:
