Mahikeng – The much talked about Accelerated Service Delivery Programme (ASDP) – Thuntsha Lerole will tomorrow, Friday, 27 October 2023 be rolled out in Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, where residents of Borakalalo, Motswedi, Gopane, Ntsweletsoku, Moshana, Dinokana, Khunotswane, and Mokgola villages amongst others, will take delivery of services provided by various government departments, state-owned entities, as well as the district and local municipalities.
Key service delivery activities which will be undertaken on the day include the official opening of phase two of the 12,4km road D415 between Lobatla and Motswedi villages which will be led by the Acting Premier Patrick Dumile Nono Maloyi, joined by the local traditional leaders and the MEC for Public Works and Roads. This road was upgraded from gravel to tar.
Other road works will include blading of the road between Gopane and Lobatla, and potholes patching on the road between Gopane and Motswedi amongst others.
Different MECs will also lead their departments across the local municipality providing services including the distribution of toys at 10 identified local Early Development Centres, distribution of routers and cellphones to principals, distribution of sanitary pads to various schools, clearing of illegal dumping sites across the municipality, distribution of agricultural equipment and production inputs, mass registration of indigents and handing over of a cheque to a local Gender Based Violence Centre.
Thuntsha Lerole is currently being rolled-out to local municipalities across the province, where various departments and state-owned entities, working together with the local and district municipalities, are responding to service delivery challenges in a coordinated and integrated approach.
A community feedback session will be held in the afternoon where the Acting Premier Patrick Dumile Nono Maloyi will be joined by MECs for different departments to address the community on various service delivery projects and programmes.
