NORTH WEST ACTING PREMIER MALOYI, DEPUTY MINISTER SWARTS OF PUBLIC WORKS AND INFRASTRUCTURE AND MEC MOLAPISI TO OFFICIALLY LEAD THE OPENING OF WELISIZWE BRIDGE AND NELSON MANDELA DRIVE

Mahikeng- North West Acting Premier Nono Maloyi accompanied by Deputy
Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Ms Bernice Swarts, and MEC for Public
Works and Roads, Oageng Gaoage Molapisi, will on Sunday, 26 May 2024 lead
the official opening of the Welisizwe Bridge in Montshioastad and Nelson Mandela
Drive Road project in Mahikeng.

The Welisizwe Bridge Programme is aimed at addressing infrastructure backlogs to
ensure safer rural communities during floods. The much-anticipated Nelson
Mandela Drive Project is a special maintenance project which forms part of ongoing
efforts by government to repair and restore provincial infrastructure and stimulate
various -socio-economic activities to create jobs.
