NWest government to intensify provision of services in Kgetlengrivier LM through Accelerated Service Delivery Programme – Thuntsha Lerole

Mahikeng – The on-going phase 2 of the Accelerated Service Delivery Programme
(ASDP) – Thuntsha Lerole will this Friday, 13 October be taken to Kgetlengrivier Local
Municipality which covers the areas of Swartruggens, Koster and Derby in Bojanala
Platinum District Municipality.
The ASDP – Thuntsha Lerole is currently being rolled out to local municipalities across the
province, where various departments and state-owned entities, working together with the
local and district municipalities, are responding to service delivery challenges in a
coordinated and integrated approach.
Services which will be provided on the day include amongst others, handing over of three
houses in Redirile – Derby, handing over of 51 title deeds to residents of Reagile in Koster
and 102 in Borolelo – Swartruggens, patching of potholes and blading of internal gravel
roads, fixing of high mast lights, handing over of goats to identified women-led projects,
planting of vegetable seeds at one of the local old age homes, application for IDs and
social support services, SMME support services and registration of indigents.
A community feedback session will be held in the afternoon where the Acting Premier
Patrick Dumile Nono Maloyi and MECs for different departments will address the
community on various service delivery projects and programmes.
