Mahikeng: North West Premier, Kaobitsa Bushy Maape will on Friday, 18 February 2022 at 10h00, deliver the State of the Province Address (SOPA) at the official opening of the North West Provincial Legislature Chamber in Mahikeng. The sitting will be presided over by the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Susanna Dantjie.
The SOPA will be held in line with Alert Level 1 Covid-19 Lockdown regulations, with a limited number of guests expected to attend. Members of the Provincial Legislature, the Judiciary and Executive are expected to physically attend the official opening of the Provincial Legislature and SOPA, with other guests following the proceedings virtually.
In his address, Premier Maape is expected to highlight the provincial government’s plansto resuscitate the economy, expedite the delivery of basic services and creation of jobs.
The SOPA will be broadcast on various media platforms and streamed live on the provincial government’s social media pages.
